Ever wondered how CT scanning began?
To celebrate the launch of our new online CT course, we’re stepping back in time to explore the origins of Computed Tomography, including a look at some of the very first CT machines.
The overall aim of this course is to provide small animal vets, nurses and radiographers with an overview of computed tomography fundamentals. By the end of the course, delegates should understand the principles of CT technology and how to perform a CT study safely and efficiently. It will prepare delegates to advance to system-specific training for operation of their own CT equipment.

Your go-to experts for all things imaging. Whether you have questions, need advice, or want tailored solutions, they’re always on hand to make your imaging work smarter and better.
As well as being filled with top tips for acquiring excellent quality standard radiographs, the technique for additional views, and when to use them, is revealed.
Computed tomography has come a long way. From the early single-slice scanners to today’s advanced multi-slice, high-resolution systems, each generation has pushed diagnostic imaging further.
Explore the evolution, understand the technological innovations, and discover why knowledge of CT’s development is essential for today’s clinicians.
Ultrasound has many clinical applications, and this can mean that throughout the course of a normal working day the machine and its transducers (probes) may be used on several different patients by a number of different operators.
Yet, all this use can lead to contamination of the transducer and the possibility of infection transmission between users and/or patients. So, how do we keep our ultrasound transducers clean?
